Performances
Susan performs a classical piano/lecture concert series at Senior Facilities, including memory-impaired residents in Alzheimer Wings, on the North Shore.
She is also available for private parties and corporate events where she can cover all genres of music including classical, popular, torch songs, show tunes, and "themed" sets.
Lessons
Susan provides private piano instruction for pupils of all ages and skill levels and has experience teaching students with ADD, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabled, and Physically Disabled.
Individual lessons are prepaid on a monthly basis. Available in either 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute blocks with personalized lesson plans.
Susan Wright, a Chicago native, is a classically trained pianist with a Masters degree in Piano Performance from Northwestern University. She is as adept at interpretation as she is at expression. Susan glides easily from Vivaldi to Chopin, Sondheim to Lloyd Webber. She is truly a musician of many moods.
Known as the "Queen of the Keyboard" at Chicago’s Knickerbocker Hotel, she often tickled the ivories at many other hotels and clubs in the Chicago area, such as the Saddle & Cycle Club, Knollwood Club and Evanston Golf Club. She also spent ten years as the pianist-in-residence at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and performed at numerous benefits such as the Saks Fifth Avenue Gala.
Susan currently appears at Lake Bluff’s The Lake House on alternate Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday brunches.
